A new urgent and crisis mental health service has launched in Sheffield replacing the Single Point of Access team. Call 111 and choose option 2 to speak to a dedicated mental health call handler if you or someone you know needs urgent help.

The main theme for this conference is Access. This event is for people with a learning disability and Autistic people living in the Sheffield area and we also welcome service representatives.

My goal is to create a strong, thriving community of disabled people in Sheffield who can work with us to influence policies and decisions or even just meet up for a coffee and a chat. I recently travelled to the United Nations Office in Geneva, Switzerland to advocate for disabled people’s rights.

This week marks the launch of “My Employment Plan”, a tool coproduced by people with lived experience and employment organisations across South Yorkshire. The plan helps a person and their employer talk about and agree on things that might help them both in the workplace, sometimes called ‘reasonable adjustments’.
