Do you receive a Direct Payment? If so, there’s an opportunity to have your say on the subject in the city soon. Sheffield Town Hall will be hosting the first local Direct Payment Provider Forum on Monday 22nd September from 10am to 1pm in Reception Rooms A & B at Sheffield Town Hall. The Forum will bring together care and support providers, the Direct Payment team and people who use direct payments.

The DPO Forum Engand , made up of Disabled Peoples Organisations, including Disability Sheffield, has issued a press release expressing outrage at the Government’s decision to go ahead with the launch of a national disability strategy saying that is not a strategy, does not address key problems, does not reflect the issues and priorities of Disabled people and was not developed with Disabled people organisations.
