    Shani Dhanda is a multi-award-winning disability inclusion specialist, thought leader, social entrepreneur, and accomplished broadcaster, recently named at the top of the Shaw Trust Power 100. Shani has driven change by establishing Diversability, the Asian Woman Festival, and the Asian Disability Network, all dedicated to combating global social inequality.

    Every year Shaw Trust publish their Power 100 list, a celebration of the 100 most influential and inspirational disabled people in Britain. Shaw Trust’s work with the power 100 list aims to change perceptions of disability, tackle social exclusion and provide role models for the young and talented leaders of tomorrow.The honour of Britain’s most influential disabled person of 2018 goes to TV presenter Alex Brooker (pictured.)

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
