This course at the Showroom Cinema from Wednesday 2nd November until Saturday 4th February welcomes young people from all backgrounds and gives participants a real insight into the world of film making.The deadline for applications is Monday October 24th at 2pm.

    Disability Union Launches Skills Academy

    The Disability Union, which describes itself as ‘the first union by and for disabled people and carers,’ has launched a pilot Skills Academy. It will enable Union members to access over 700 courses ranging from employability skills to new vocational accredited qualifications.

    The BFI Film Academy are recruiting twenty young people aged 16-19 to take part in the academy at the Showroom Cinema in Sheffield from Wednesday 7th November until Saturday 26th January. The deadline for applications is Tuesday October 23rd at midday.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
