    BFI Film Academy Applications 2019 - 20 Now Open

    Do you dream of a career in the film industry?The BFI Film Academy are recruiting twenty young people aged 16-19 to take part in the academy here in Sheffield at the Showroom cinema.The course runs from Wednesday 6th November 2019 until Saturday 25th January 2019 – the deadline for applications is Saturday 26rd October at midday.

Have you, or your group, made a short film about what it’s like to have social care or other services?Then you might be just the person/people South Yorkshire Teaching Partnership is looking for to have your film join the feast of films to be screened at their Film Festival on Friday 22nd February.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
