    New guidance stressing that employers are allowed to reserve jobs for disabled people should help narrow the disability employment gap, say the Disabled People’s Organisations that asked for the legal advice to be published. The guidance, ‘Using Protected Characteristics in Recruitment’ is now available for employers from ACAS.

    Recruitment and Retention of PAs Survey

    Do you employ your own Personal Assistants (PAs), carers or support workers? If so please can you complete this short survey by the Local Government Association about the recruitment and retention of PAs. Our advocacy service supports disabled people to exercise their rights and be fully involved in decisions about their life. The Advocacy Manager is responsible for supporting and supervising the advocacy team, which delivers a range of advocacy (statutory and non-statutory) support as part of Sheffield Advocacy Hub.The closing date for applications is 8am on Monday 15th July 2019.
