We are seeking a to appoint up to three new trustees to our Board.
As a Disabled People’s User-Led Organisation (DPULO) we are very keen to hear from disabled applicants in particular.
LGBTQ+ and ethnically diverse communities are also currently under-represented on our board, similarly younger people, which we are also hoping to redress.
Whilst people of all professional, voluntary and lived experience backgrounds are very welcome to apply, we are particularly looking to add knowledge and experience in the following areas to the boards current make-up;
- Community engagement, advocacy, empowerment or co-production
- Human resources
- Local government / statutory sector policy and / or politics

This role will require a basic DBS check.

Disability Sheffield Centre for Independent Living is a ‘not for profit’ pan-impairment organization, led by people who self-define as disabled people, whether they have a physical disability, a sensory impairment, a mental health condition or learning difficulties.
We support disabled adults to make their voice heard, whether through individual advocacy services or through a range of community networks and activity seeking to ensure disabled people are at the heart of all decision making across Sheffield.
