    Legal Right to Personal Health Budgets Survey

    The charity In Control has set up a survey to look at the delivery support tools for personal health budgets, focusing on the legal ‘Right to Have’. It will help the NHS understand how helpful / inclusive the tools are to ensure that people with learning disabilities and autistic people are included in the legal ‘Right to Have’. The closing date is Tuesday 2nd March 2021.

    New Personal Health Budget Rights

    With effect from Monday 2nd December, personal wheelchair budgets are being introduced as part of a range of measures to improve current wheelchair service provision, to ensure people have better experiences of care and to give people greater choice over the wheelchair provided. People who need Section 117 after care support now have the right to a personal health budget, providing them with greater choice and control when managing their own health and care.

  • Have Your Say On The Council Budget

    You are invited to take part in a consultation about Sheffield City Council’s spending. The council is planning to set a budget and council tax rates in March and April next year and wants to hear your views before then. The consultation closes on January 11 2019.

    Disability Rights UK (DRUK) has summarised the key points of the Budget 2018 for disabled people if you wish to see an overview. As a ‘no deal Brexit’ is still a possibility next March’s Spring Statement could be upgraded to a full Budget – this could mean that some of the Budget 2018 proposals detailed could be amended.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
