    This briefing paper by the Institute for Public Policy Research examines the impact of the pandemic, following decades of increasing regional inequalities, on the lives of disabled people across the north of England.Their conclusions emphasise that now is the time for policymakers to act and ensure that disabled people have equal access to opportunity across the North and the rest of the UK.

    It’s Advocacy Awareness Week ( 28 Oct – 1 November ) and this year’s theme is demonstrating the impact of advocacy. That’s why we’ve chosen to wait until now to publish our recent annual report for our Advocacy and Information Service. We’re doing our best on social media this week to raise awareness of the importance of advocacy, join in the conversation and celebrate all things advocacy.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
