  • Nominations Needed For National Diversity Awards

    The National Diversity Awards is back and looking for nominations for a prestigious event to be held later this year.Charities, role models and community heroes will be honoured at the ceremony showcasing their outstanding devotion to enhancing equality, diversity and inclusion embracing the excellence of all our citizens irrespective of race, faith, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability and culture.

  • Could you be a member of Sheffield’s Independent Advisory Group on policing?

    South Yorkshire Police are recruiting to the Independent Advisory Group (IAG) which aims to discuss the impacts of policing on different communities and look at ways in which the police can improve the policing service to the diverse communities within Sheffield. SYP has IAGs in all four districts and to become a member of the Sheffield IAG, you must be aged 16 or over, live or work in Sheffield and not be employed within the policing family.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
