    Our UN CRDP Workshop Reports

    Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisations (DPPOs) play a key role in the examination process, submitting “shadow” reports to the UN Committee responsible for the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Disabled People. In November we held two UN CRDP Capacity-building and Consultation online workshop events to gather views to submit to the shadow report in preparation for the next examination of the UK under the CRDP.     The United Nations Convention on the Rights of Disabled People is a major global catalyst for the progression of disabled people’s rights.Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisations play a key role in the examination process, submitting “shadow” reports to the UN Committee responsible for the CRDP. Participants in our workshops in November will help shape the shadow report as DDPOs prepare for the next examination of the UK under the CRDP.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
