A Multi-Lingual and Multi-Faith Bereavement helpline set up by the DiverseCity Development Trust, the helpline is a listening service for anyone in the Sheffield area struggling to come to terms with loss and grief. The helpline matches callers with someone who speaks the same language or has a similar background.

If you are a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic child ( 11+ ), young person, parent or carer, affected by Covid-19? you can speak to Barnado’s new helpline about your worries, problems and stresses during the pandemic. On the phone, helpline advisors can talk to you in English, Urdu, Punjabi or Hindi. Psychotherapists can provide therapeutic support in English, Hindi, Bengali, French and Punjabi.

A new support line has been launched to help young people with issues such as low mood, anxious thoughts and loneliness or challenges such as exam stress, relationship issues, bullying or isolation. Youth charity Sheffield Futures, NHS Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group and Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust have come together to create the support line for young people in the city aged 12–18 .
