Urgent Help Requested In Legal Challenge to Care Charge Increases

Campaigners Disabled People Against Cuts have backed a group fighting for disabled people – many of whom have learning difficulties – who are challenging Minimum Income Guarantee cuts, which they say will dramatically increase care charges
These cuts are being imposed by Norfolk County Council, but DPAC are calling on people from all over the country to provide evidence for a ‘test case’. If you have had care charges increased and are struggling to pay these DPAC are asking if you could send them a short email outlining the issues you face with charging or refusal to allow Disability Related Expenses.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
