    Direct Payments Survey

    Sheffield City Council has asked us to conduct a survey to help them improve the direct payments system. They want people who use direct payments to say what they think about what works well and what doesn’t. They want to find out from people who don’t use direct payments about the barriers to taking them up and any barriers that might affect take-up by particular groups of people. Please fill in our survey to help shape the future of direct payments in Sheffield.The survey is open until 25th January 2021.

    Our new information sheet for individual employers and PAs contains guidance based on some of the questions we are being asked at Disability Sheffield by people who employ their own PAs. The outbreak of Coronavirus is a public health issue and as such certain precautions need to be taken by both employer and employee and both parties need to be aware in these difficult circumstances of their employment duties and rights.

  • South Yorkshire Teaching Partnership Direct Payment Project Focus Group

    Doncaster Council has been commissioned by the South Yorkshire Teaching Partnership to undertake a piece of research to identify best practice for Local Authorities offering Direct Payments to adults in England. If you receive a direct payment you can contribute to discussions at a focus group on Monday 18th March from 11am to 12 noon at St Mary’s Church, Bramall Lane.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
