Sheffield City Council has asked us to conduct a survey to help them improve the direct payments system. They want people who use direct payments to say what they think about what works well and what doesn’t. They want to find out from people who don’t use direct payments about the barriers to taking them up and any barriers that might affect take-up by particular groups of people. Please fill in our survey to help shape the future of direct payments in Sheffield.The survey is open until 25th January 2021.

We want to gather information in several ways and we are looking for people to share with us a direct payment ‘diary’, attend focus groups, complete a survey and get involved in the project board .

It includes Frequently asked Questions and Answers, mostly aimed at direct payment holders, that directly responds to questions and concerns previously raised by direct payment holders, personal assistants, and charities and organisations that support them.

The outbreak of Coronavirus is a public health issue and as such certain precautions need to be taken by both employer and employee and both parties need to be aware in these difficult circumstances of their employment duties and rights.

Doncaster Council has been commissioned by the South Yorkshire Teaching Partnership to undertake a piece of research to identify best practice for Local Authorities offering Direct Payments to adults in England. If you receive a direct payment you can contribute to discussions at a focus group on Monday 18th March from 11am to 12 noon at St Mary’s Church, Bramall Lane.
