Free Direct Payments Workshops

Free Direct Payments Workshops

Direct Payments – social care that gives disabled people from all communities control, choice and self-direction to live an independent life.

Disability Sheffield have put together a FREE short online information workshop – just an hour at the most – aimed at everyone who works in community-based groups and organisations, to find out more about what Direct Payments is and how it might help people you work with/for.

The FREE online workshops are welcoming, friendly and informal but also full of information to help people find out more about Direct Payments. They will inform paid and unpaid workers, board members, and anyone else involved in your organisation, so you can pass the information on to those who might need it.

They will be a chance to ask any questions but it’s OK just to listen too.

Disability Sheffield are repeating the same Direct Payments Information workshop three times, to give everyone the best possibility of being able to join. Here are the dates and times available: (You only need to sign up for one!)

  • Tues 29th November 22 – 06.00 pm – 07.00 pm
  • Mon 05th December 22 – 11.00 am – 12.00 pm

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
