Health and Care Forum Ageing Well

The next Healthwatch Sheffield Health and Care Public Forum will take place on 11th October 2022 from 1pm-2.30pm on Zoom. The Forum is one of the ways Healthwatch sheffield connects people with professionals working to change health and care services for the better.

NHS professionals working on the Sheffield Ageing Well Programme, which aims to help people to age better, will attend the Forum to discuss

  • What would help you age well?
  • What makes a good care home?
  • What would matter to you if you became unwell with an sudden short term illness and couldn’t do your normal daily activities?
  • What would help you to stay independent if living with long term conditions such as frailty, which impact on your quality of life?

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
