The Cathdral Archer Project, a charity set up to help homeless people in Sheffield, has launched their annual appeal which this year runs until 25th October. Donations of food will help feed up to 90 homeless people a day with breakfast, lunch and food parcels.

This petition asks for a review of the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessment process claiming that evidence shows that people with epilepsy are disproportionately discriminated against during the assessment process. Of those people who have epilepsy and previously received Disability Living Allowance, 54% were denied PIP, this is the second highest rejection rate out of all health conditions and double the national average.

The Partnership helps to promote awareness of and develop a better public understanding of adult abuse and involves service users in the development of their policies and services as well as taking the lead responsibility for conducting serious case reviews in Sheffield.

Social Work England is looking for volunteers in early November to check that their new website is accessible. The website will allow the public to check the details of around 100,000 registered social workers and raise any concerns.
