Bags of Taste Cooking Demonstrations

Bags of Taste Cooking Demonstrations

From Poor Diets to Richer Lives, Bags of Taste believe everyone should be able to afford good food.

Bags of Taste is a comprehensive programme that takes participants from eating unhealthy food, to enjoying better diets and healthier finances.

Join Bags of Taste on Fridays from 11am to 1.30pm from 4 – 25 October at St Mary’s Church, Bramall Lane, Sheffield S2 4QZ. Includes a free lunch . All welcome. Please register here , text/call 07894440519 or email sheffield@bagsoftaste.org .

Classes are friendly and fun! Bags of Taste demonstrate at least two recipes to youand give you tips on food storage, so you save money by not wasting food. They explain where to buy the ingredients for the recipes you are cooking cheaply and locally and a bit about nutrition too. You can then taste the recipes!

You will cook the recipes yourself with the aid of an instructor who will help you with any mistakes you might make (don’t worry, we all make them!)

You will then eat the delicious meals you cooked with your classmates. We hope you’ll love them!

You can buy a bag of ingredients to try making it yourself at home. Let’s see if you can do as well as you did in the class! Your family and friends get to try it too. The bags cost only £3.00 and contain enough food for two meals for two people, so four people in total.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
