BFI Film Academy Applications 2019 - 20 Now Open

The BFI Film Academy are recruiting twenty young people aged 16-19 to take part in the academy here in Sheffield at the Showroom cinema.

The course runs from Wednesday 6th November 2019 until Saturday 25th January 2019.

The fee for the course is £25.00 and bursaries to cover course fees and travel costsmay be available to attendees.

Young people from all backgrounds and areas of the UK are encouraged to apply – the deadline for applications is Saturday 26rd October at midday.

The course aims to give participants a real insight into the world of film making, equipping them with skills and experience that are essential to becoming part of the film industry.

All participants will be working towards a recognised qualification from Arts Awards and will be immersed in all aspects of hands-on film making, meeting fellow film enthusiasts and industry professionals from across the UK.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
