    We are proud to announce that we have made the shortlist for the Guardian Charity Awards which is very exciting. There were over 700 applications and we have made the top 30 shortlist. The Guardian Charity Awards offer a unique platform to celebrate the success of small and medium-sized charities working to improve social wellbeing. The five winning charities will be announced at an awards lunch on 13 December at the Guardian’s London head office.

    In July 2015 a number of Sheffield residents who access Adult Social Care, their families and carers/allies came together in a safe environment to discuss the difficulties they faced, their fears that the system was in crisis and their concerns for the future. Their experiences and personal stories were shared, and subsequently, a report was published. This year they intend to come together again to see what, if anything has changed.
