Call to 'Be Kind' to People Who Are Exempt from Wearing Face Coverings

The government has produced new guidance and a new range of exemption cards calling for the public and businesses to be mindful of and act sensitively towards people who are exempt from wearing a face covering. This comes at a time when charities are asking the government to listen to and better understand the concerns of disabled people and to do more to promote awareness around who is exempt from the face mask rules following reports of disabled people facing hostility from the public and businesses. Please get in touch with us to let us know about your experience, whatever it is, and if we can help at all by contacting a service provider on your behalf or helping you to report any incident where you felt threatened.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
