Free Training for Individual Employers and PAs

Are you currently employed as a Personal Assistant for an adult over the age of 18 and feel you could benefit from further training? Do you employ your own Personal Assistants and want to further their skills and knowledge or improve your understanding of your role and responsibilities as an individual employer?

If you answered yes to any of the above, Disability Sheffield are running a number of FREE courses for existing Personal Assistants ( PA ) and Individual Employers ( IE ) in partnership with Skills for Care and Sheffield City Council starting this November until March 2020.

Full details of the training courses on various topics are available here. Please note the following upcoming courses in November and December. PA or IE or both denote who the courses are for.

November Fri 27th pm Disability Equality PA

December Tues 1st am Person centred practice part 1. PA
Thurs 3rd pm Introduction to Makaton PA IE
Fri 4th pm Mental Health Awareness PA
Mon 7th (1hr session) Person centred practice part 2. PA
Fri 11th pm Autism Awareness PA

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
