The vision of the Alliance for Inclusive Education (ALLFIE) is ‘a world where inclusive education is a right not a struggle’ and they campaign for the inclusion of all Disabled learners in mainstream education.ALLFIE are looking for more Disabled Young people, aged between 16 and 25, to get involved in their’ Our Voice project’ and join in their online sessions and discussion topics from mid September onwards.

A new specialist service in Sheffield aiming at helping patients suffering with the long-term effects of Covid-19 has been shortlisted for a national Health Service Journal Patient Safety Award. Resources and supporting information to help people manage their post-Covid recovery are available on Sheffield Teaching Hospital’s website.

Disability groups in West Yorkshire have called for people to continue wearing masks to help protect those who are particularly vulnerable to Coronavirus. Calderdale Covid-19 Disability Advisory Group are asking the Mayor of West Yorkshire and Calderdale Council to provide all public services in as safe a way as possible, improve ventilation and mask wearing ( except for exemptions )on all public transport and encourage the continuation of optional working from home.
