Managing Mental Wellbeing Over Christmas

Managing Mental Wellbeing Over Christmas

It may be the most wonderful time of the year but Christmas can be overwhelming and stressful for many people. And with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, ‘normality’ can feel a long way away.

So Sheffield IAPT (Improving Access To Psychological Therapies) is offering help in the form of free one-off managing wellbeing sessions, during which you can learn techniques and tools to help support yourself by:

• Giving you information to help with managing stress
• Teaching you ways to use the learning over the Christmas period
• Explaining what further support is available

The sessions will be live streamed on Microsoft Teams and those taking part will be able to watch the presentation delivered by two experienced facilitators. Only the course facilitators will be visible on screen and participants do not need a webcam to take part, although you may make comments and ask questions during the session using the chat function.

The sessions will take place on Thursday 9th December from 5.30pm-6.30pm and Thursday 16th December at the same time.

To take part please complete the online referral form on Sheffield IAPT’s website or call them on 0114 2264380

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.
