A 2015 report by the Extra Costs Commission found that more than 3 in 4 disabled customers and their families and friends had moved their business elsewhere as a result of a lack of disability awareness by service providers. Taking up the challenge to ‘ Rethink Disability’ and drawing on the Social Model of Disability, Barclays Bank has published guidance to both its employees and businesses world wide on how they can make their businesses accessible for all.
