Sheffield Cycling 4 All, our accessible and inclusive cycling project, is hoping to have its funding wishes granted – and is looking for your vote to help it achieve this aim. SC4A is thrilled to have been selected for the voting stage of the TransPennine Express Transform Grants which supports community projects that seek to tackle/promote social inclusion and improve the environment. A major new campaign has been launched to support the 15 million people who live with one or more long-term health conditions in England. ‘We Are Undefeatable’ recognises the unique barriers that people living with health conditions face and shows the emotional stories of men and women living with a variety of conditions getting active in ways that work for them.

Hallam Barbell, an Olympic Weightlifting and Strength Training Club based in Sheffield, is now offering a disability-inclusive programme and has a para power bench which allows disabled people to train competitively. It is an official British Weightlifting affiliated club, with an ambition to make Sheffield stronger: physically, mentally, emotionally and socially.

Disability Awareness With Sport (DAWS) is a non-profit organisation based in south-east Sheffield which aims to make exercise accessible to everyone, especially those who may experience isolation within their community. As well as providing fitness training, provided by a fully-qualified instructor and tailored to individuals’ needs DAWS also organises social get-togethers.
