Carer Survey : Healthwatch Sheffield

As we approach Winter, the NHS have published guidelines on who should have a flu vaccine – people who are more likely to develop potentially serious complications of flu, such as bronchitis and pneumonia, their carers and frontline health and social care workers.

New Personal Health Budget Rights

With effect from Monday 2nd December, personal wheelchair budgets are being introduced as part of a range of measures to improve current wheelchair service provision, to ensure people have better experiences of care and to give people greater choice over the wheelchair provided. People who need Section 117 after care support now have the right to a personal health budget, providing them with greater choice and control when managing their own health and care.

Autism Plus Launch New Website

The national charity supporting adults and young people with autism, learning disabilities, mental health conditions and complex needs since 1986, has a new award winning ‘Recite-me’ toolbar allowing visitors to customise the website so it works best for them, which is especially important for website users who have a range of neurodiverse conditions and disabilities.
