    Tess and Martyn Sibley were filmed speaking for an hour during which they talked about subjects including their experiences as people with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, making businesses more open and dealing with trolls.

    Coping With Covid-19 Online Course

    Sheffield IAPT’s (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) online course , looking at different emotional responses to the coronavirus outbreak, offers simple skills and techniques to help you cope with the outbreak. Each of the 4 sessions is around half an hour long with time after to ask questions and focuses on a different theme each week.     A doctoral student looking into the ‘gig economy’ and how it affects disabled people in the jobs market is looking for interviewees to help with her project. Ioana Cerasella Chis, who is in the first year of a PhD at Birmingham’s politics department wants to speak to disabled, neurodiverse and/or chronically ill people who are on zero-hours, fixed-term or seasonal contracts.All participants will be paid in line with the Real Living Wage for their help.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
