Sheffield Voices would like to announce their next, We Speak You Listen event at Hillsborough Arena on 18th November from 10-2pm. Sheffield Voices are working in partnership with Sheffield Health and Social Care and Healthwatch to find out what people want mental health services for people with learning disabilities and Autism to look like going forward.

Nothing About Us Without Us is a well-known disability rights slogan. It is also the title of a new exhibition at the People’s History Museum in Manchester, that explores how these rights have been fought for over centuries and the activism that has led this march forward. The exhibition opens on Wednesday 16 November at the start of UK Disability History Month and is open until October 2023.

Following considerable delays in the processing of new Personal Independence Payment claims the Department of Work and Pensions has announced making an extension of up to a year to existing PIP awards approaching their end of award date.This decision provides greater certainty for claimants and in particular helps with continuing to access other support for example a blue badge or travel pass.
