As part of a national rebrand Sheffield IAPT has changed its name and has a new website but its services remain the same.
NHS Sheffield Talking Therapies ( for anxiety and depression ) is an easier to understand title which makes taking that first step more accessible as asking for help can be really difficult, especially if you aren’t sure what help you need.

Sheffield Voices self-advocacy group for people with learning disabilities and autism has released its latest newsletter to let you know what activities they held in April. Also mentioned is the upcoming “You Speak We Listen” event, which is taking part on May 26th at Hillsborough Arena including a session around the cost of living and how it is impacting the learning disability community.

Do you love cycling as much as we do? We are looking for some new Cycling Session Volunteers to help out at our Sheffield Cycling 4 All sessions in Hillsborough Park. Our project enables anyone to enjoy cycling, whatever difficulties or disabilities they face. We are a people led organisation committed to providing Sheffield with regular and active inclusive cycling sessions.

Ofgem has announced that all British domestic energy suppliers have signed up to an updated Code of Practice and tougher Ofgem oversight of the forced installation of prepayment meters, strengthening protections for customers in vulnerable situations. Citizens Advice and Ofgem have opened a phone line to support the national evidence call to ask energy customers to share their experiences of moving to a prepayment meter.

Acclaimed disabled Yorkshire artist Jason Wilsher-Mills taught himself how to use digital technology after disability caused by a childhood bout of chicken pox suddenly worsened. Lightbox installations, wall hangings and intricately decorated fibreglass and inflatable sculptures celebrating disability and Jason’s Northern working-class heritage will be displayed on the ground floor and gardens of Wentworth Woodhouse from Saturday 29th April to Sunday 18th June..

Every Body Moves is a fresh campaign to connect disabled people with more opportunities to get active . At the launch more than 150 disabled people took part in a ‘come and try’ session for different sports and activities from archery and dance, to wheelchair basketball and table tennis, at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield. The everybodymoves.org.uk platform features more than 7,000 inclusive sessions and a range of virtual workouts, hints and tips and has been co-produced with disabled people.
