Doug Paulley’s bus accessibility case went to the Supreme Court on the 15th of June. The decision, due at the end of the month, could have wide implications for wheelchair and mobility scooter users who want to travel by bus in the UK.

For the last two years we have been collaborating with Active Independence and the Individual Employer and PA Group to develop some useful downloadable resources that can be simply used by Individual Employers to train their own staff, any health and social care worker who works with disabled people and other interested parties. We have recently launched an online resource which has been funded by Skills for Care.

The All Party Parliamentary Group for Disability invites written submissions to inform its inquiry into how the Government can fulfil its pledge to halve the disability employment gap. We would therefore like to ask disabled people to share their feelings and any personal stories of bearing the effects of unemployment or trying to stay in work. Please feel free to share them with us and let us know if you are happy to use them as examples in our response. We are happy to anonymise them if you would prefer.
