Supported by the Department for Transport, HMAS is a free information and guidance service on the best accessible travel options for disabled people and individuals who may be considering retiring from driving. It is provided online through a national website and at 15 Driving Mobility centres with dedicated HMAS experts who will assist with inclusive transport queries.

Following a successful funding application for South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation Cost of Living Grant, Sheffield Voices, will be facilitating two Cost of Living outreach sessions in the North and South of the city and four group sessions in community spaces .The sessions will focus on listening to concerns, producing accessible resources and helping people save money on food, heating and other bills during Winter 2023/24.

Our Get Active buddying scheme is a pilot project to support people to attend a physical activity in their local community. if you’d like to help people with a learning disability, severe mental illness or autistic people get more active and can volunteer for a few hours a week on a Monday or Tuesday to attend an activity with a disabled person, we would love to hear from you!

We are looking for around 10 volunteers to help us design and deliver peer support group workshops to people going through the direct payments process. The first stage will be to work with our Community Network Coordinator to create four different workshops based on your lived experience and for this stage we can pay volunteers a small co-production fee.
