Would you like to earn some money contributing to research looking at making a well-known groceries website more accessible?

A small research business based in Leeds is helping to make a well-known groceries website accessible to people with disabilities and related health conditions.

They are urgently looking for people who use assistive technology to take part in paid market research next week (8th-11th September). In particular, they are looking for people who use voice input to control their computer, or keyboard-only control (ie. no mouse). They are also urgently looking for one deaf person who uses BSL, and one person with dyslexia, and one person who uses screen magnification.

As a thank you for taking part, they will give participants £60-£100 cash at the end of their session. The sessions will be either in Leeds, or they can travel if it’s more convenient. The sessions we will be very relaxed, and we will simply ask people to browse a website and tell us what they think. It’s a nice opportunity for someone to earn some money for something that is low-stress, easy and the kind of thing they might be doing anyway (the cash incentive won’t have any effects on benefits that people might claim).

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
