Use of Force Leaflet

Use of Force Leaflet

Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust has launched a new leaflet for service users on their wards and the people who support them.

The leaflet is designed to start an open and honest conversation about any potential use of force during their stay and explains how everyone is kept safe on their wards.

People from all backgrounds were involved in developing the leaflet including:service users, carers, volunteers, people with lived experience and staff working in their clinical teams

The leaflet features views, feedback and contributions from Sheffield Voices , Disability Sheffield and Sheffield African Caribbean Mental Health Association (SACMHA) , as well as other NHS Trusts across the country.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
