Tribute to Queen Elizabeth II

Tribute to Queen Elizabeth II

We are saddened by the death of Queen Elizabeth II and wish to voice our respect and thanks for her selfless service to our country through seven decades. Whatever our individual feelings about the monarchy our Queen was a constant presence throughout many years of change and dutiful to the very end of her long life.

We particularly thank the Queen for her commitment to charitable work , not only as Patron of 600 charities, some with the ‘ Royal’ title, but also for the honours she bestowed on many citizens highlighting their tireless charitable work in their own communities.

In June 2022 as the Queen reached the monumental milestone of her platinum jubilee, the CEO of Charity Aid Foundation Neil Heslop OBE spoke of her philanthropy and said:
“During her 70 years of remarkable service, many organisations have benefited hugely from the support of The Queen and her passion for charity,”

“The Royal Family have made raising the awareness of the work of charities an integral part of their public duties and we are incredibly grateful for the attention they bring to organisations of all shapes and sizes carrying out vital work in the UK and around the world.”

We add our tribute to say a heartfelt thank you to the Queen and echo the sentiment of King Charles III in saying “May hosts of angels sing thee to thy rest”.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
