These Job Opportunities Are Just Different

Do you want the chance to change negative perceptions of disability and difference? If so, a disability charity with a South Yorkshire base is looking for people just like you.

Just Different was set up a decade ago by Toby Hewson – a young man with cerebral palsy – to provide meaningful paid employment opportunities for disabled adults, is searching for new recruits, especially those willing to be workshop presenters on a self-employed basis. This will involve going to schools, businesses and community groups and talking about difference in a way that encourages acceptance, tolerance and understanding.

All those employed will be under the Yorkshire and Humber branch, based in Rotherham, and will receive bespoke training and support . Applicants should have the confidence and ability to talk at length in front of groups, a driving licence or access to non-public transport and the ability to attend early-morning workshops.

If you fancy applying for these ongoing opportunities, you should send a copy of your CV to Sara@justdifferent.org or Tel 01709 837691 for further information.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
