The Suit Works for Unemployed Men in Sheffield

The Suit Works is a local charitable organisation based on the model pioneered in London by Suited & Booted.

The team at The Suit Works help and support unemployed men of all ages who are trying to get into work by giving them a styling session, suit, shirt, tie and shoes or smart casual clothing when they have the offer of a job interview and they do not have, or are unable to afford to buy suitable clothing.

Their clients have to be referred by an organisation e.g. charity, public body, employment advisor and have the offer of a job interview or similar.

The charitable organisation can also help unemployed men to prepare by giving them some informal interview skills training at the same time covering aspects such as body language, grooming, dealing with nerves and preparation; or practical skills which may include something as simple as how to iron a shirt.

For details of other services on offer including, workshops, corporate presentations or one to one client mentoring please contact The Suit Works on 07468 464776 or email info@thesuitworks.co.uk

If you would like to support the work of the charity, you can visit their dedicated Get Involved page, which details how to volunteer, donate clothing, organise a suit drive or make a donation.

What do you think of this idea? Do you think your search for employment would gain a boost after a visit to The Suit Works? Let us know in the comments section below.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
