Disability Sheffield and Sheffield Voices have teamed up with Change in Leeds who are campaigning with Shelter about housing issues that affect people with learning disabilities. Shelter is an organisation that supports people who are at risk of being homeless.
This event is for anyone with a learning disability and for anyone who supports people or provides accommodation to people with a learning disability, and we would like to add your story about housing to the campaign.
This could be either:-
• Someone providing supported living
• The Local Authority
• A Housing Association
• A Care Provider
• A person with a Learning Disability either living at home, living on your own, living with other people.
We will be collecting stories on the day and there will be an opportunity for you to talk on camera about your experiences, if you would like to be part of a short film we would like to make.
There will be speakers from Shelter and a people with lived experiences recounting their stories.
