Thank You for a Barrel of Fun and Fundraising

We’ve totted up the money and the final figure for the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party Fundraising event was an amazing £400!! Once again a massive thank you from everyone at Disability Sheffield to The Barrel in Chapeltown, their wonderful landlady Steph Tate and her fab team, the stallholders, our amazing volunteers, staff members and trustees, all of whom helped to raise the profile of Disability Sheffield whilst generating much-appreciated funds. Not forgetting the Alice in Wonderland characters who added to the fun on the day.

We know and appreciate what it takes to organise, prepare for and hold an event of this kind and you can be assured that the money raised from all your efforts will go directly to supporting our work. We look forward to The Barrel hosting another fundraiser later this year. If anyone has any ideas for a ‘theme’ to top the Mad Hatter ( if that’s possible !) please let us know.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference
