Do you want to influence government policy? Disability Rights UK wants to hear from as many disabled people as possible about the issues that affect you and the kinds of changes you want to see in society and in government policy.
So this month they have launched their We Belong campaign. As the Government prepares to launch its National Strategy For Disabled People, DRUK says it is the ideal chance to shape the future.
You can tell them your views about what matters by emailing webelong@disabilityrightsuk.org or if you prefer you can send audio or video.
DRUK are also holding a series of online discussions on different themes, bringing together a diverse group of disabled people: experienced campaigners, high-profile disabled people and anyone with something to say. The first two discussions are seeking the views of disabled women and disabled people from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds.
There are two sessions on 30 September discussing issues and priorities of disabled women, and two on 1 October discussing priorities of disabled people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds. The links are below.
