An access guide set up by a powerchair user is once more doing what is described as the UK’s longest-running access survey – and there is a chance of prizes for all those taking part.
Euan’s Guide was founded in 2013 by Euan MacDonald MBE, and his sister Kiki after Euan was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease and a lack of disabled access made everyday experiences stressful. By breaking down the barriers of exclusion with the help of other people in the same situation, Euan’s Guide hopes to give everyone the freedom to explore.
Every year it aims to find out if access across the nation is improving or otherwise. This year’s survey covers all sorts of venues and attractions and asks people to nominate the best places to go. In 2018 there were 900 participants and this year they are hoping for a four-figure response. As a thank-you for taking part four randomly-selected participants will each win a £25 Amazon voucher.
