State of Sheffield 2018 Report

The State of Sheffield, commissioned by the Sheffield City Partnership, provides an overview of the city, describing how things are and how they are changing. Rather than representing the views or opinions of one particular organisation, it draws together insights and perspectives from a team of authors working in different fields. It pulls on a range of data sources and reports to explore city-wide issues, plotting trends, highlighting challenges and pointing to opportunities for Sheffield and its population.

This year, it covers 5 key areas, which relate to the Board’s work on building a sustainable and inclusive economy:

  • Inclusive and Sustainable Economy
  • Involvement and Participation
  • Safety and Security
  • Social and Community Infrastructure
  • Health and Wellbeing

The production of the report is a collaborative effort with organisations across the city. You can download the report at www.sheffieldcitypartnership.org/scp-reports .

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
