The Launchpad project, designed to help adults with learning disabilities and/or autism develop skills in drama and performance, is back and looking for new recruits.
Organised by Sheffield Theatres, it gives participants the opportunity to work with professionals to develop their performance skills and devise a performance all of their own. They will take part in weekly workshops building skills in areas such as improvisation, storytelling and movement and work together to create a performance for the Crucible Studio theatre.
The workshops run weekly on Thursdays between 10.00am – 2.30pm, with a break for lunch from Thursday 19 March to Thursday 16 July, and there will also be a week of daily rehearsals before the performance from Monday 13 – Wednesday 15 July, and performances in the Studio Theatre on Thursday 16 July.
To audition for Launchpad, please fill in this form. The questions are designed to find out more about you and anything Sheffield Theatres might need to know to make your experience as good as possible.
The deadline for applications is Friday 21 February.
You can ask for a PDF of the form or to provide a voice recording. To find out more email spt@sheffieldtheatres.co.uk or telephone Pippa Atkinson, the Learning Projects Producer on 0114 201 3858 (ext. 3858).
The audition will be a group workshop, you don’t need to prepare anything, just be ready to have a go and meet some new people!
