Sheffield has just launched the Smart Lab programme to help entrepreneurs test their ideas, products and services in a real-time city. As part of the Smart Lab, they are looking to select and support solutions that can help housebound adults maintain their independence. The short listed projects will receive mentoring by Creative Sheffield’s business adviser team and a series of workshops and training delivered by the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University. The aim of the programme is to support the teams in developing a robust and context-specific business case. The best teams will then be offered a chance to pilot their projects with full support from Sheffield City Council. The deadline for applications is September 30th, and the programme starts in January 2016. Any questions?
