Sheffield Cycling 4 All Launch Trike Loan Scheme

Sheffield Cycling 4 All Launch Trike Loan Scheme

Sheffield City Region have very kindly given our disability cycling project Sheffield Cycling 4 All ( SC4A ) 4 electric assist tricycles which are available for anyone who can’t ride a two wheeled bike to loan for up to 3 months (depending on demand).

We hope that this scheme will enable people to experience pedal power as a viable mode of disability transport.

It’s a great way to give it a go without having to lay out lots of cash. SC4A also lend you a full range of cycling accessories with the trike, including integrated basket, rain cover, lights and lock. So, you should have everything you need to see if cycling on a tricycle is for you.

Benefits of loaning a trike

  • Increase your access to trikes outside of Hillsborough Park sessions
  • A great mobility aid as well as being a brilliant low impact form of exercise
  • Save money on taxis / public transport / fuel
  • Less effort than walking!
  • Free cycle confidence training
  • Enjoy cycling with your family and friends

For more information and to get on the waiting list please email info@sheffieldcycling4all.org or call/text Tom on 07922 183338

To hear more from our Sheffield Cycling 4 All staff, as well as some of the people who enjoy being a part of our adapted cycling sessions, the Sheffield Telegraph has published an article about our trike loan scheme: Sheffield cycle scheme launches trike loans to boost accessibility

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
