Share your PIP Story with Turn2Us

Can you share your story of successfully claiming personal independence payments (PIP) to help others going through the application process?

A major national anti-poverty charity – Turn2Us – are seeking the stories of those who have successfully claimed PIP so that others can be encouraged to make a claim. Turn2us is known for its online tools to help people understand and access their rights. Here’s their message that they have asked us to share

“We know applying for PIP can feel really isolating. We want to help people feel supported and hopeful as they’re going through the process. If you’ve successfully claimed PIP and getting PIP is making a difference in your life, can you share your story to encourage and inspire other people?

We’ll ask you to let us share your name and story with other people who are going through the PIP process and are using a new online tool we’re developing. We’ll also ask to share photos of you so people using the online tool can get a sense of connection with you, which we know really helps people, when they’re facing a new challenge.

If you would like to speak to a member of the communications team at Turn2Us about sharing your story, please email:
communications@turn2us.org.uk

The conversation will be an opportunity to talk through what’s involved, and find out what you’re happy with and carries no commitment to be involved. “

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference
