Sheffield Hallam University students are running a series of workshops to make sci-fi themed costumes through March. The aim of the project is to be fully inclusive, with ideas for sci-fi costumes for wheelchair users. The students can support and welcome people with learning disabilities who wish to attend.
The group is made up of a mix of Sheffield locals and Sheffield Hallam University students. The workshops are open to everyone and will be running in the Sharrow area of Sheffield.
This project will culminate in a sci-fi event with music from local Sheffield artists.
You are welcome just to come along to any of the workshops however, joining their Facebook Group and posting something to let them know you will be attending would be helpful for them to get an idea of the numbers of people attending.
Workshops are at Highfield Trinity Church on London Road
Wednesdays the 15th and 22nd of March 6-9pm and
Mondays the 20th and 27th of March 6-9pm
There is a suggested donation of £3.50 towards the cost of materials (Though they do not want cost to be an obstacle to anyone)
This project has been supported by Sheffield Hallam Arts & Culture.
