Research on Addiction to Video/Internet Games

Do you think you may be addicted to video or internet games? Do you have a diagnosis of Autism? The School of Psychology in the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG) are looking for adults with Autism to take part in their research survey. The project is examining addiction to gaming, which they call ‘Gaming Disorder’,in adults with and without Autism.

If you are 18+ and have a diagnosis of Autism and would like to give your views please read NUIG’s Information Sheet to find out more. If you click Next at the bottom of the Information Sheet it will take you to the survey which takes 10-15 minutes to complete.You should only consent to participate in this research study when you feel you understand what is being asked of you, and you have had enough time to think about your decision.

Alayna Murray, a final year psychology student is undertaking the research, working under the supervision of Dr. Arlene Mannion and Dr. Geraldine Leader at NUIG.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
