Participants wanted for research into the psychological impact of PIP

Luminous, a disabled student studying for a Master’s Degree in Psychology at Sheffield Hallam University is looking for disabled people who receive a Personal Independence Payment to take part in her research survey.

“As a wheelchair user with limited use of my arms and a recipient of PIP, I have a special interest in disability issues and their impact on the everyday lives of people like myself. I am writing to request your participation in a survey of the community of people living with disabilities who are claimants of Personal Independence Payment (PIP). This survey is part of a research project on the impact of the implementation of PIP disability benefit on the psychological well-being of people living with disabilities.”

If you are in receipt of PIP and would like to take part in this research, you can complete the short questionnaire by clicking here.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
