Each year, the Learning Disabilities Partnership Board gives an award to people with learning disabilities, who inspire others with their dedication to sport and activities in Sheffield. It’s not necessarily for someone who has achieved grand things or lots of medals – but those who have achieved their best despite the barriers they face. This award is named after Peter Woodall who died in 2012 aged 77. Peter was a keen swimmer who trained with the Sheffield Otters swimming club and won medals at swimming galas around the country. If you would like to nominate an individual or team for the Peter Woodall Sports Award please see the Nomination Letter . The last two winners have been men, so the Partnership Board would welcome more nominations for women and teams this year.
